UPDATED: Police Reopen I-70 After Standoff With Gunman
UPDATE: Police have reopened I-70 in both directions on the East side.
Police have shut down Interstate 70 in both directions due to a suspected gunman.
Police suspect a gunman is stationed somewhere on the 1900 block of Gault Street on the East Side, according to the Columbus Dispatch. SWAT officers have been dispatched on the scene and the Ohio Department of Transportation has secured both I-70 in both directions and ramps from I-270 north & south to I-70 west.
East Side Update: ODOT’s in process of closing I-70 west at I-270 on the East Side. Ramps from I-270 north & south to I-70 west also closed.
