Helpful hints to prepare for IKEA stampede
You’re insane for planning on hitting up the IKEA grand opening next Wednesday but we probably can’t convince you otherwise. Assuming you don’t get trampled as soon as they open the doors, here are a few helpful tips to get you in and out of IKEA alive:
- Follow the arrows painted on the floor to keep you on track. Would you go against the grain of an elephant stampede? No, so don’t try going upstream at the grand opening
- Secure your finds one of three ways: carry items, contact staff to retrieve, or remember the number on an orange tag to find items in the warehouse
- Be one of the first 44 in line to get a free sofa
- Explore the screens located next to furniture displays to see the different positions the pieces can be arranged
- When you’re feeling weak, don’t be a hero. Fuel up at the restaurant inside IKEA
