ODOT reminds drivers to slow down, move over

Lee Rizor, an ODOT worker operating a backhoe, was hit and killed by a driver asleep behind the wheel. It has been four years since his death and his coworkers and family are still reeling.

Road crews work inches away from cars driving 80 miles per hour. Today, friends and coworkers of Rizer are at Delaware County rest stops to remind drivers to slow down and move over for workers to make their jobs a little safer.

Getting to work on time is important but not as important as protecting someone’s life.
