Special Retirement for Two CPD Veterans
Two CPD veterans are retiring from the force today, as shared via Facebook by the Columbus Division of Police.
“Officer Bill Dorsey has been with the Columbus Division of Police for almost 30 years, the last 15 in canine.
His current canine Camile is 8 years old & been with Officer Dorsey & the Division since December of 2009.”
The post goes on, explaining the merits of the six-legged team:
“His current canine Camile is 8 years old & been with Officer Dorsey & the Division since December of 2009.
During his tenure Camile has been responsible for the arrest of many felons & the seizure of controlled substances.
“During retirement, Officer Dorsey is running a fishing charter & Camile will probably be his first mate,” said Sgt. Mark Cartwright-CPD Canine Unit.”
