2018 forecast shows changes to Bexley landscape

Inevitably, there are many changes in store for 2018—most of which cannot be determined at this time but in regards to Bexley’s landscape, we’ve got a pretty clear vision.

This Week News reports Bexley is slated for three development projects this year:

  • Jeffrey Mansion expansion
  • Opening of new Schneider Park athletic fields
  • Development of new public gardens in the northern area

According to Mayor Ben Kessler per This Week News, the expansion was spurred by a 200 percent increase in community participation in the city’s recreation programming in the past five years.

The new athletic fields will be the first expansion in that realm of Bexley in decades. They’ll be located near the Ferndale Place/Mayfield Place neighborhood.

Lastly, the public garden renovation will include preservation of the current plots adjacent to Schneider Park plus additional plots added in north Bexley.
