Bridge Park sports complex, fancy COSI addition in pipeline

Local officials have their eyes set on two ambitious projects to be funding by the state’s two-year $2.6 billion capital budget—one in Bridge Park Dublin and the other involving COSI.

COSI is in line for $5 million which would ideally go towards a new glass-enclosed corridor through the middle of the building, connecting the new park to the west of the building with the riverfront. The corridor would contain 30,000 square feet of restaurant, retail, and public space, reports The Dispatch.

Over in Dublin, Bridge Park is seeking $1 million of the capital budget for an amateur sports arena. The 4,000-seat, $40 million basketball and volleyball facility would host local youth teams during the week and tournament on the weekend (tourism $$$). The arena could also house the Ohio High School Basketball Hall of Fame as it currently has no building.
