Quarry Metro Park scaling mountain to completion
The initial stages of Columbus’ newest metro park are all wrapped up—it’s actually happening, people!
Columbus Metro Parks and Wagenbrenner Development closed this week on the first phases of purchasing the former Marble Cliff Quarry property to be transformed into our 20th metro park, Keep it on the QT.
In a release, Metro Parks and Wagenbrenner shared in their amazement of the positive response from the community, giving them momentum to keep forging ahead. Tree clearing is underway to prepare for the grading and capping of the former landfill. They warn the site is an active construction zone so trespassers are definitely not welcomed.

Mark Wagenbrenner, President of Wagenbrenner Development added, “This is going to be something special and unlike anything our city has seen. It’s going to take time, but this closing allows us to take our vision and make it a reality!”
