Take a hike, Gahanna: New park in close view

Strap on your boots, Gahanna, a new 7-acre park is in close view.

The Gahanna Planning Commission approved a final development plan and a design review application for a park to be built on the northeast corner of Hines and McCutcheon roads, reports This Week News.

An inclusive and adaptive playground for children of all abilities (which could be open by the end of this summer), a restroom, and a loop trail are the first elements to be built.

The second phase in 2019 will include a basketball court, a tennis court, and a picnic shelter. This phase is dependent on funding.

The Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation so generously contributed $100,000 towards the park’s development.
