Food oasis opening in Franklinton desert this week
No Franklinton, that’s not a mirage you’re seeing up in the distance, it’s an actual fresh food oasis.
Jubilee Market and Cafe at 1160 W. Broad St. will officially open to the public Wednesday, May 16 immediately following the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11am.
Besides corner stores and the Aldi on W. Mound, this will be Franklinton’s only other fresh food option.
This non-profit grocery store will operate under a Federal Poverty program where eligible customers can receive a 15-20% discount on produce.
