Have you had Watershed and Cameron Mitchell’s “Double Gold” winning gin?

Now, we know nothing is perfect but Watershed Distillery and Cameron Mitchell Restaurant’s collaboration gin came pretty damn close.

At the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the distiller and restaurant group took home the Double Gold designation as well as the award for “Best Flavored Gin” for their Guild Series Chamomile Flavored Gin.

The Double Gold designation is reserved only for those participants who receive gold medal ratings by all members of the judging panel.

The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is the largest of its kind in history, garnering more than 2,200 entries.

“We were a growing company looking for a way to do business with the largest restaurant partner in Columbus,” said Watershed co-founder Dave Rigo. “We started by having a conversation about how to take local to another level. This led to the idea of doing something collaborative: two local companies working together to make something unique became Guild Series Gin.”

According to a release, the Guild Series Gin is a corn and apple-based spirit distilled in the style of a traditional gin, but infused with rose petal, nutmeg and chamomile flowers.

Guild Series Gin is available for purchase at The Guild House at 624 N High St and at Watershed Distillery’s bottle shop at 1145 Chesapeake Avenue, Suite D.
