More changes afoot at Gateway University District
Another day, another change coming to the Gateway University District.
World of Beer will close this Sunday and reopen on August 16 as The District PourHouse.
The Lantern reports the goal of the rebranding is to become a more familiar, affordable destination for people of all ages including students.
There will still be a wide array of beer like WOB is known for plus homely, “retro” offerings like Busch Light, Natural Light, Rolling Rock, and Pabst Blue Ribbon.

“We are so excited to offer this neighborhood pub that will not only be more approachable for the college student in terms of budget and offerings, but will also be a place that draws millennials, alumni and baby boomers, bringing even more energy to the Gateway — University District,” Darren Greene, co-owner of The District PourHouse, said in a statement per The Lantern.
A few of The District PourHouse menu items will be biscuit bowls, made-to-order hot dogs, and burgers.
As far as entertainment goes, the new bar will offer arcade games like Ms. Pac Man, Atari, and Frogger as well as trivia and vinyl nights.
