A local police officer went a little outside his job description to rescue a member of our animal community. A wounded goose was found near a Menards store and nearby residents called upon the help of Columbus Police.
Officers were able to apprehend the goose and transport it to a wildlife hospital where it will spend several weeks recovering before it can be released back into the wild, reports 10TV.
DUCK….DUCK… GOOSE: There really isn’t much our officers wouldn’t do. As pesky as geese can be, so great to see Officer Fulton carrying this injured bird to safety with the help of his flock-Officers Paxton & Williams. @OHWildlifeCntr #CPD pic.twitter.com/TiJ7604jjF
