Grandview: To canna-be or not to canna-be

Will Grandview City Council puff puff on medical marijuana dispensaries or will they pass on the idea? That is one of the first items on their 2018 agenda.

At yesterday’s meeting, two ordinances were proposed according to Columbus Business First: the first being to ban dispensaries altogether unless it’s allowed by zoning, and the second is to modify zoning to allow dispensaries to open on the south side of Goodale Boulevard.

If City Council decides on the latter, the state must increase the number of marijuana retailers in order for Grandview dispensaries to come to fruition.

Grandview set a permanent ban on cannabis cultivation and processing in the fall but left their options open for dispensaries.
