Curb your curbside cravings at Swensons Polaris, open now

We’ve got some Galley good news for you: Swensons Polaris has officially opened!

Swensons is now curbing your cravings at 2012 Ikea Way.

This is the second Akron-based fast feedery in central Ohio, with the first having opening on Sawmill Rd. near Dublin this past fall.

And in other news, last week, Hilliard City Council approved a rezoning request for the Swensons Drive-In at 4790 Cemetery Road, immediately west of J.W. Reason Elementary School.

The following ammendments were made to the proposal, according to This Week News:

  • increase in landscape buffering along Cemetery Road
  • increase in front-parking setback from 20 feet to 38 feet and the elimination of nine parking spaces from Cemetery Road
  • a reduction of total parking spaces from 92 to 80

The request for the construction of the third Swensons in central Ohio was previously vetoed due to pedestrian safety concerns.

However, the City of Hilliard informed their Facebook followers that if this drive-in impacts the drive or walk to school for residents and their students, the developers and Hilliard City Schools must work together to come up with a solution at the expense of the developers.
