Popular vegan pop-up opening permanent restaurant this week
Columbus’ most crave-able vegan pop-up is just days away from becoming a permanent fixture of the local food scene. Woodhouse Vegan will host its Grand Opening on October 10 at 851 N. 4th St. in Italian Village.
The plant-based comfort food concept will continue its mission of providing fun, tasty options to the vegan community while also schooling non-vegans on the splendors of herbivorous eating.

While the brick-and-mortar has been over a year in the making, Woodhouse got its start inside Oddfellows Liquor Bar in 2016. Cara, along with her mom Carla and sisters Nicole and Krista, started developing a regular following with popular dishes like mac & “cheese,” tacos, and nachos.
“With our space, we can provide a place and environment for people to explore plant based foods without limitation or menu scrutiny,” Cara said. “Creating delicious food favorites you grew up with—as well as new tastes—is exactly what we do.”
