6 local companies scored “perfectly” on pro-LGBTQ list

As human rights continue to move to the forefront of America’s political and social agenda, six Columbus businesses are being recognized for their outstanding pro-LGBTQ policies.

The Human Rights Campaign has released its annual list of companies who actively enforce non-discriminatory rules and regulations.

Here are the six local companies that received perfect scores:

  • Abercrombie & Fitch Co.
  • Cardinal Health Inc.
  • Huntington Bancshares Inc.
  • L Brands Inc.
  • Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co.
  • Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease LLP

And here are five local companies that received good, if not perfect, scores:

  • American Electric Power Company Inc.
  • Bob Evans Farms Inc.
  • Designer Brands Inc. (the former DSW)
  • Honda North America
  • Wendy’s Co.

Lastly, here are Ohio-based companies who scored perfectly:

  • Fifth Third Bancorp
  • Frost Brown Todd
  • KeyBank
  • Kroger Co.
  • Squire Patton Boggs
  • Thompson Hine LLP

There were 572 businesses nationwide that got 100 percent on the index.

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s methodology considers non-discriminatory policies inside the workplace, equitable benefits for LGBTQ workers and their families, and and support for an inclusive culture and corporate social responsibility, survey responses, and publicly available information, reports Columbus Business First.
