Actual Brewing declares bankruptcy

Soon after Columbus Alive published its powerful article detailing sexual assault claims against Actual Brewing’s founder Fred Lee, the brewery has filed for bankruptcy.

The filing was made on Valentine’s Day.

Alive reports the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing lists $500,001- $1M in assets and liabilities. Actual’s new acting CEO, Nicole Felter, signed the filing.

Following the publication of the article, businesses all over the city pulled Actual’s beer from their shelves, and the newly-opened Clintonville taproom announced it would be “closed until further notice.” It remains closed today.
