Police search for suspect who escaped barricade situation on campus

Police lost track of a suspect during a barricade situation near Ohio State campus on Tuesday evening.

According to 10TV, police responded to a call regarding a domestic dispute in the 300 block of East 14th Avenue near North 4th Street. Officers confronted suspect Joshua Breckenridge at the scene, but he barricaded himself inside the house.

Police think Breckenridge managed to slip away between the time officers first confronted him and when the SWAT team arrived at the scene. His whereabouts are still unknown.

On Twitter, Columbus Police reassured residents that Breckenridge did not pose a threat:

Police say Breckenridge is a black male, 44-years of age, 6’0 tall, and weighs 190 pounds.
