Call for LGBTQ+ Submissions!

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS. 614 Magazine is seeking photos, poems, illustrations, and/or short form essays (300-500 words) about your experience as part of the LGBTQ+ community here in Columbus. This is for the June PRIDE issue and is your chance to have your voice heard about what your unique experience has been—do you have a great love story? Is there a fond memory? Do you need to express something important and have your voice heard? Is there a person or mentor you want to shout out? Is there a favorite bar, restaurant, or location that’s been important to you as a member of the LGBTQ+ community? We want to hear all your stories in any form—art, drawing, essays, photos, poems—share them NOW! Selection of pieces for the June special section will be on the ones that clearly articulate your point-of-view, have a creative bent, and demonstrate a commitment to building a stronger dialogue and representation in Columbus about and for the LGBTQ+ community. Please send one submission ONLY to [email protected] with subject line: COLUMBUS PRIDE ISSUE SUBMISSION, no later than May 10. You will be notified only if your piece is selected for print and/or web publication. High school and college students are encouraged to submit as well.
