New curbside artisan grocery concept opens first Ohio location

Getting local produce and artisanally crafted goods just got easier.

Curbside pickup service Cubi Market (pronounced “cub-e”) just opened a new location at 400 S. Main St. in Granville, according to a recent press release. Each Cubi “station” is a sanitized and temperature-controlled location–not an actual storefront–for customers to pick up produce, pantry staples, and more. Users are notified via email when orders are ready for pickup, and they can unlock their designated storage lockers via an emailed link.

Cubi aims to provide local shoppers with an easier way to source local produce and more than could typically only be found at an area farmers market.

“The Granville area is home to several amazing food producers,” said Cubi Market Chief Operating Officer Paul Mixa in a prepared statement. “It has been a great experience connecting with these local merchants and learning about their businesses and exciting products.”

The new Granville location is Cubi’s first outside of Michigan, where it was launched.

Customers can visit Cubi to browse products, review recipes, and place orders. After selecting their preferred pickup day, customers can collect their items anytime between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. on the scheduled day.
