This 50 year-old central Ohio pizzeria has opened a new Columbus-area location

Over the course of half a century, Pizza Cottage has represented Columbus-style pies and maintained a serious following of fans.

And recently, the pizzeria has officially the doors of another Columbus-area location.

On Nov. 1, Pizza Cottage held the grand opening of its newest restaurant, which is in Lancaster. The pizzeria is located at 1961 E. Main St.

The new eatery marks Pizza Cottage’s second Lancaster restaurant, with the other pizzeria located at 2223 W. Fair Ave. This is the concept’s 10th total storefront, and nearly all of them are located within an hour of Downtown Columbus.

Pizza Cottage, which is known for its thin and crispy Columbus-style pies, was founded in Carroll, Ohio in 1972 by Jack and Yvonne Gorham. Today, the long-standing concept is owned by Larry Tipton.
