The people of Fifth by Northwest have named their favorite pizzeria.

In this year’s Fifth by Northwest Pizza Crawl, an event held earlier this year from the Fifth by Northwest Area Commission that features pizzerias throughout the neighborhood, Rotolo’s Pizza was named Fifth by Northwest’s best pizzeria.

According to Pizza Crawl lead volunteer Andrew Gifford, approximately 500 people attended the event, and their votes named Rotolo’s this year’s winner.

“It’s awesome to be part of the planning team for this growing and expanding neighborhood event, and even better is that we can still honor our rich history with long-serving community establishments like Rotolo’s- this year’s winner,” Gifford said.

Rotolo’s has been a Columbus staple for nearly half a century. The pizzeria originally opened in 1974, and has accrued a number of nominations and awards, including being one of the country’s top 10 pizzerias by Los Angeles Magazine.
