Bavelli’s Pizzeria is on the move.

The Newark-based pizza spot serving up a variety of square cut pies, wings, salads and more is officially expanding. According to a Bavelli’s representative, the store will open a new location later this year at 65 Coshocton St. in Johnstown. It will take over the former home of the Johnstown Family Restaurant.

The move will make Bavelli’s, which is also known for its calzones, more accessible to Columbus residents.

Currently, Bavelli’s operates a single pizzeria, which is located at 2066 Cherry Valley Rd. in Newark. Its new Johnstown location will be located just over 30 minutes from Downtown Columbus.

According to the Bavelli’s representative, the eatery’s new Johnstown location will likely open in late August or early September, although an exact opening date has not been determined yet.
