Pizzeria known for authentic Chicago-style pies has temporarily closed
An East Side pizzeria known for Chicago-style deep dish pies has temporarily—and abruptly— closed its doors.
According to a Facebook post, Mama Nancy’s is now temporarily closed.
“The restaurant is temporarily closed at the moment. We posted today to watch for Facebook posts to update our customers,” a Mama Nancy’s representative told 614Now on Sunday. “Thank you for everyone’s support!”
The eatery’s Facebook post reads, “Mama Nana’s is temporarily closed. More info to come. Thank you for all your support!”

Mama Nancy’s did not disclose any additional information to 614Now, and no further information is available in the East Side restaurant’s Facebook post.
The pizzeria, which is located 3495 E. Broad St., originally opened in late 2021, using an authentic Chicago deep-dish pizza recipe from a late friend, who also become the concept’s namesake.
