Moon Festival returns to the Columbus area this Saturday

Featuring demonstrations, games and food, the eighth annual Moon Festival and Ohio Kung Fu Tai Chi Day returns for a range of culturally–inspired fun, Sept. 14, 12 – 9 p.m..

The event will be held at Riverside Dr in Dublin and will celebrate the Mid Autumn Festival. The festival – observed in many Asian cultures such as China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, ect… – honors the moon and the end of autumn harvest, making it perfect for the fall season. 

Kicking – off, 12 – 5 p.m. will highlight traditional Asian food, games and prizes. Demonstrations of Kung Fu Tai Chi and various cultural experiences will also be available, aiming to spark the curiosity of attendees of all ages.

As the sun goes down, lights will go up and celebrations for the traditional moon festival will begin from 6 – 9 p.m.. Mooncakes and traditional teas will be available to sample, alongside traditional music that can be heard throughout the festival grounds.  

Guests can also anticipate live performances such as Lion and Dragon dances, and instrument performances. Experiences such as a tea ceremony, calligraphy and face painting will also be available.
