Summer camp sign-up for Columbus Recreation and Parks is today! Here’s how to enroll
We know it’s only February, but it’s already time to start signing up for summer camp! Believe it or not, registration for Columbus Recreation and Parks Department’s incredible and versatile summer camp options start tonight at 7 p.m.
Summer camps are a safe, engaging place for our youth to spend outdoors, gaining and collaborating with friends, instead of wasting the entire summer indoors on their phones or playing video games. The Columbus Recreation and Parks offers arts, crafts, sports, games, science experiments, nature exploration, and so much more, suitable for all interests.

Camps operate from June 10-Aug. 2, and you can register for one week, or or the entire summer.
Here are some options:
Outdoor Recreation Camps:
Campers spend the summer outside canoeing, creeking, fishing and building forts. Each week will have a unique theme structured around classic camp activities.
- Registration begins Thursday, Feb. 22; resident registration begins at noon, registration for the general public begins at 7 p.m.
- Spots fill up quickly so registering online is recommended. If you need to register in person, you can do so from 7-7:45 p.m. at Wyandot Lodge, 3228 Indian Village Road, Columbus.
Community Center and Specialty Camps
Campers experience many activities including arts, crafts, sports, games, science experiments and nature exploration. Camp categories include Community Center Camps, Sports Camps, Arts Camps and Specialty Camps.
- Registration begins Tuesday, Feb. 27; resident registration begins at noon, registration for the general public begins at 7 p.m.
- Spots fill up quickly so registering online is recommended; if you need to register in person, you can do so on Tuesday, Feb. 27, from 7-7:45 p.m. at your local community center.
Therapeutic Recreation Camps
There are a variety of inclusive camps designed for youth with and without disabilities.
- Registration begins Tuesday, Feb. 27; resident registration begins at noon, registration for the general public begins at 7 p.m.
- Spots fill up quickly so registering online is recommended; if you need to register in person, you can do so on Tuesday, Feb. 27, from 3-7 p.m. at Franklin Park Adventure Center, 1755 E. Broad St.
