After pondering a closure in late 2021, the Gahanna pizzeria Mr. T’s Pizza has announced it will close its doors next month.

The pizzeria, which is located at 207 W. Johnston Rd. in Gahanna posted a statement to its Facebook page last week detailing the closure.

“While we weren’t prepared to say anything yet, it seems many already know or are asking. Yes, Mr. T’s will be closing in February,” the statement reads.

The eatery noted Feb. 3 will be Mr. T’s final day.

The Gahanna pizzeria closed for the first time in the early 2000s after remaining opening for decades. It reopened at its Johnstown Road location in 2018. First-generation owner Jim Armstrong passed away in 2022.

“Thank you to the best customers we could ever have, especially those that have been a part of the Mr. T’s family since the beginning,” the eatery’s statement reads.
