Local brewery hosting 2nd-annual event with all you can eat beans, bean fountain, possible bean wrestling
If you like beans, Walking Distance Brewing Co. is the place to be tonight. Even if you don’t like beans, it’s probably the place to be.
Walking Distance will be hosting its second annual Celebration of Beans, which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like.
The event, which started from “just a love for baked beans,” will see nearly 75 pounds of beans handed out to attendees, a baked bean fountain, and even wrestling in a kiddie pool filled with beans. Well, maybe on that last one.

“The wrestling is only happening if we get a sponsor who will give us $500 worth of beans to fill the pool,” Walking Distance owner Teddy Valinski said. If you’d like to sponsor the event, reach out to the brewery on instagram.
And the bean fountain? According to Valinski, they’ll use a chocolate fountain, but add baked beans instead.
“It worked for ground beef last week, so it should work for beans,” he said.
It’s going to be wild. It’s going to be weird. And we’re all about it.
