Update: Cardale Jones released from hospital

Update: A spokesperson for OSU Wexner Medical Center says that Cardale Jones is doing well and has been released from the hospital.

Buckeye quarterback Cardale Jones was rushed to OSU Wexner Medical Center Wednesday night. Reports said that he was suffering from intense head pain.

Cardale’s family shared news of the situation on social media. His brother asked for prayers saying that the Ohio State star was suffering from “a bad headache and he couldn’t move.” His sister also asked for prayers saying that her brother had been rushed to the ER. His mother Florence later told a reporter from the Toledo Blade that Cardale is alright and that “it was just a headache.”

As of Thursday morning, there has been no comment from Ohio State. Jones and J.T. Barrett have been in competition for the starting QB role with the Buckeyes this season. Urban Meyer has said that he will likely play both.

The Buckeyes begin the season on Monday at Virginia Tech.  (jj)
