Pup of the Week: Roddy
614Now has partnered with the CHA Animal Shelter to put some focus each week on a cute pup up for adoption.
Quick note: the shelter wants to remind everyone about their $5 Feline Friday special. All cats and kittens have a $5 adoption fee every Friday from now through Thanksgiving.
Roddy is a brindle and white Boxer / Beagle Mix. He is just under 5 years old. Roddy is described as having the cutest big ears and a smooshed face. He is a very active and energetic boy. He would make an excellent addition to a running or hiking family. Roddy loves the outdoors and is very athletic. He is very food-motivated so he would probably enjoy fun training games to keep his mind stimulated. Roddy is an adorable fun package.
Roddy’s adoption fee is listed at $150. He is up-to-date on all of his shots, and has been neutered and micro-chipped. Adoption fees go right back into the shelter to help care for animals continuing to wait for their new homes.

More about CHA Animal Shelter:
CHA Animal Shelter is a nonprofit animal shelter in northeast Columbus, Ohio (3765 Corporate Drive). CHA is funded solely by donations from adoption fees, donations from the public, and various other fundraising efforts. Their mission is to serve the people and animals of Central Ohio by providing safe, temporary shelter and care for abandoned or otherwise homeless cats and dogs, and to reduce pet overpopulation by means of spay and neuter, education, and community outreach. They have been fulfilling that mission since 1975.
Adoption fees are designed to help offset a portion of the cost of food, shelter, and medical care for each rescued animal. (jj)
