Criticism leads Ohio State to remove ‘inclusive holiday practices’ webpage

shutterstock_331908356Until recently, Ohio State’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion had a page on their website featuring guidelines to celebrate the holidays in an inclusive fashion. This included things like avoiding the use of decorations that are religious in nature and steering clear of the colors red and green.

The page was brought to the attention of another site…Campus Reform. Campus Reform is a conservative-leaning website and called out Ohio State for its attempt at creating a ‘politically correct’ holiday atmosphere.

Soon after, OSU removed the page. The university says that the suggestions listed were not mandates or policies and that the page has been removed to avoid confusion.
