Laughlin’s Bakery: Pop-up goes permanent
Making the giant leap from pop-up to permanent, Laughlin’s Bakery is set to open its doors in the Short North at the Holiday Hop on Saturday. Jonas Laughlin is behind the enterprise and has catered events for the past year and specializes in European treats, pies, tarts, tea cakes and more. His shop might also begin to carry sandwiches and other entrees as his business grows.

Following Kickstarter, Laughlin’s Bakery opening next month
Laughlin’s Bakery launched a successful Kickstarter campaign over the summer and they are set to open their store front in the Short North on Dec. 6. According to their Facebook page they will be opening shop at 15 E 2nd Ave. They are looking to get a bit of help and are hiring cake decorators and front of the house staff.

Laughlin’s Bakery attempts a Short North storefront via Kickstarter
You’ve probably seen his face in the Short North, during gallery hop behind a table of delectable looking baked goods. Jonas Laughlin has been baking out of his home, but is looking to take his practice to a brick and mortar building in the Short North. He’s turned to Kickstarter for help and has already become popular enough to become one of Kickstarter “Staff Pick.” Even Breakfast with Nick is sending out his support.
