A new breed of thief has arisen in Columbus, and they’re not stealing traditional valuables, like electronics and jewelry.
One man dubbed the “Dental Hygiene Hoodlum” stole dozens of cases of brand-name Crest White Strips, while another man, the “Faucet Fanatic,” is seemingly obsessed with faucets.
Justin Daniel Snyder, 25, has a penchant for high-end faucet fixtures, and is the prime suspect in the thefts of eight faucets.
In total, the value of the faucets comes to around $4,000.
Police say that men like Snyder and the “Dental Hygiene Hoodlum” are probably selling their stolen goods online, or to a specific buyer, rather than serially installing sinks or whitening teeth.
