Though Ohio Governor John Kasich just signed the bill legalizing medical marijuana in Ohio, lighting up isn’t legal yet–especially at wholesale prices.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers made sure of this at 12:10 a.m. this morning when they stopped a minivan with Arizona license plates on the Ohio Turnpike in Lucas County.
A search of the vehicle revealed a whopping 221 pounds of marijuana, valued at over $1 million.
The driver, Paul Schmitt, 29, of Tucson Arizona, was subsequently arrested and charged with possession and trafficking in marijuana, facing up to 16 years in prison.
