Traffic Alert: Ramp from I-270 S to US-33 W closed until Friday

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced this morning the ramp from Interstate 270 South to US 33 West will be closed until Friday morning in order to conduct emergency safety repairs.

Though the ramp was initially projected to be closed for up to a week, ODOT announced this morning the contractor would be working around-the-clock to ensure the ramp is reopened by Friday morning.

According to a team of ODOT engineers, another deluge of rain could destabilize the sloped ground that supports the ramp, leading to the decision to close it for repairs.

Drivers have two options to get around the construction: from I-270 south, exit at Sawmill Rd., south to S.R. 161 west to U.S. 33 west, or stay on I-270 south, exit at Tuttle Crossing Blvd. to I-270 north to U.S. 33 west.
