Woman killed in train crash OSU student

The woman who was struck and killed by a Norfolk Southern train Thursday has been identified as student, according to the Dispatch. Victoria Muchiri, 22, was a biology major at the OSU and according to Maj. Steve Tucker, she had probably committed suicide by standing on the tracks. Engineers said that they saw the woman on the tracks, but she did not move, the paper reported.

Fatal train crash on north side
Early Thursday morning, a woman was struck by a train on the north side and killed. Officers were called to Park Road and Station Street and shut the intersection down after the fatal accident. The area won’t open again until the afternoon.
