DareDevil Dogs opening in old Commonwealth space

DareDevil Dogs is set to open on Friday with its menu of adventurous hot dogs. Patrons can choose the build your own option or opt for a DareDevil creation. The house dogs range from the Un Daring Dog which includes the basics with an all beef hot dog, white onion, house pickles, ketchup, yellow mustard on a split top bun to the Buffalo Chicken which has a buttermilk fried chicken sausage, sriracha-orange buffalo sauce, shaved celery, red onion, blue cheese aioli on a brioche bun.

The opening party will be in conjunction with the Village Idiot (its next door neighbor that it will share a window with) and include prizes and raffles on Friday at 6 p.m.

New hot dog joint to open in fall

Another hot dog restaurant will be jockeying with Dirty Franks for dominance in the city. DareDevil Dogs is set to to open Nov. 7 in the location that once housed Commonwealth at 1437 North High St. The menu will specialize in hot dogs and a build-your-own concept. Patrons will be able to choose buns from brioche to gluten free and options like Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sausage, Blue Cheese Aioli and a pork brat. The small establishment will hold 14 people and prices are as low as $4 to $9.
