North High Brewing fires up new brewhouse

Thursday, the guys over at North High Brewing fired up their new 20-barrel system to start churning out more beer for both its bar and local bars around the city who want to serve the local made booze. While currently the recently acquired space is solely being used as a brewing facility, it could house retail or a tap room in the future. According to Columbus Business First, the first batch of O-Hi-PA IPA should hit the bar in the next few weeks. They are also planning on creating a seasonal marzen/Oktoberfest beer in the new warehouse.

North High is getting a whole new brewing warehouse

When North High Brewing Company opened up shop with its two-barrel system, the owners weren’t anticipating a huge call for wholesale beer. That didn’t really pan out for them. “Shortly after delivering our first keg to a bar in May 2013, new account requests began coming in so quickly that within a few months we had exceeded our capacity to produce more beer,” co-owner Gavin Meyers told Columbus Underground. The local brewers began to look at expanding into a warehouse and found one in the Milo-Grogan neighborhood at Fifth and Cleveland. The new warehouse will rock a 20-barrel system and could enable North High Brewing to sell their beer wholesale to grocery stores and way more restaurants than they were able to before.
