#Fit614: Title Boxing- Grandview is a total knockout
By Kaitlin Perfect
The first time I ever walked into Title Boxing I almost turned around and walked out. I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
I mainly stayed because the staff was so friendly — they helped me put on my boxing wraps, told me what to expect from the class, and even taught me how to throw my punches correctly before I started hitting the bag.
The workout:
15 minute cardio warm-up that includes various workouts (jumping jacks, mountain climbers, squats, lunges, etc.)
Cardio is followed by 8, 3 minute boxing rounds working with a heavy bag. Between each round is a minute break of “active rest” so if you’re feeling real energized you can do whatever active rest you’re instructed to do.
After the 8 rounds there’s a 15 minute cool down with different exercises to work your core and booty muscles.
I felt so great after the first class that I ended up buying a membership. This hour long workout has physically put me in better shape than I was while playing sports in high school and college.
Title Boxing in Grandview has classes (almost) all day, everyday with very personable instructors that will help you get the most out of your boxing working.
Take a chance and try it out — your first class is FREE — you won’t regret it!
