CMH’s 4G isn’t all that awful, named in top 10

Airport cell phone coverage sucks. That’s just a known fact. Cellphone towers aren’t allowed on any airport property (oddly enough they could probably get in the way of all the things coming in and out of the area) and that paired with thick, heavy walls makes for less than ideal service. RootMetrics research group looked to figure out exactly how bad it was, and which airports weren’t all that awful. Port Columbus was no.9 on the list for fastest speeds. If you are surfing the web and watching cat videos during your layover on Verizon’s network you are cruising along at 25.7 megabits per second, on T-Mobile 22.7 Mbps. The resounding loser: AT&T at 3.8 Mbps.
