City hires energy manager for first time in years

Meet Willie Overmann. He’s a mechanical and energy engineer, who will be the first energy manager the city has had in five years. When the recession seeped into Columbus, the city could no longer afford an energy manager but now that the economy is on the upswing, Columbus has brought in Overmann to oversee the city’s utility contracts, building’s Energy Star certification and how to save energy costs, according to Columbus Business First.
