Woman dies after crash into Griggs Reservoir

A woman in her 50s was pulled out of a car that apparently crashed into Griggs Reservoir Friday. A witness said he saw the car drive quickly passed him and into the water and then called 911. He said another man attempted to rescue the woman in the car that was upside down in the water. She was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital and was later pronounced dead after having been under the water for more than an hour. Police have said the crash does not seem criminal, according to NBC4.

UPDATE: 10TV has reported a body has been pulled out of the car.

At around 11 a.m. Friday, a car was reportedly submerged in the Griggs Reservoir near Riverside Drive. According to 10TV, witnesses said a person was in the car during the crash.
