‘Micro-unit’ apartments could hit Short North
Some teeny-tiny little apartments are in the works in the Short North where space is valued so much so that a new apartment complex is building six stories of 540-square foot studio rentals. For comparison, that’s roughly half to three-quarters the size of a regular one-bedroom apartment, according to the Dispatch. So how much do you really want to live in the Short North? Developing company Stonehenge has proposed the unit at Third and High, which is pretty prime real estate (who wouldn’t want to be that close to Late Night Slice and Bodega?). The ground floor is slated to house a lobby and retail space along with spaces for 32 Smart cars, because why stop at just small apartments when you can also have small cars to match.
