In order for kids to get the chance to see the Ohio Statehouse, grants are being offered to fund the transportation, which can at times be the most costly part of field trips, according WTVN. The grants would vary depending on the distance the school is located from the statehouse. If a school sits between one and 50 miles, it will be given $200. If a school is 51 to 100 miles away it will get $300, and if schools are more than 100 miles away, it will be allotted $400. This year the grants are being awarded to 105 school districts.
