As do many Olympians, Gabby Doublas has relocated for coaching and training, but oddly, she’s ended up in Columbus, a city that hasn’t churned out a high caliber national team gymnast since the 80s. Her new home is in Westerville at Buckeye Gymnastics to train with Fernando Villa who she had worked with previously, according to the Dispatch. Douglas won gold in all around at the London games and now her sights are set on Rio. “I’m training for Rio in 2016, and this is a great place to do it. I love it here. The atmosphere is great, and the people are amazing,” she said, the paper reported.
