Old rape cases re-visted after cold case suspect charged

For years, LeRoy Davis, wasn’t charged for rape cases he was involved in. Last week though, after 18 years, Davis was arrested and charged for a rape case that had long been considered cold. DNA evidence helped open the case back up, and now Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said his office is “investigating whether or not we can rejuvenate those cases that were dropped,” NBC4 reported. The growing database of DNA is helping to identify more and more rape suspects.
