Lucky Lotto: The Book of Mormon Offers Cheap Tix With Lottery Policy

The Book of Mormon is set to take the stage at the Ohio Theater on May 22 through May 27, and it turns out God’s favorite musical has a pretty steep price for tickets. No you won’t fall into an eternal pit of debt filled Hell, but $302 for a ticket is still pretty tough to swing when you had to borrow $30 from your significant other for the electric bill last month. Oops, we promised not to tell. Sorry!

Luckily, The Book of Mormon is making an effort to help people be able to see the show via a special lottery system where you’ll have the chance to enter your name and the amount of tickets (1 or 2. Didn’t your mother teach you not to be greedy?) you want into a drawing two and a half hours prior to each performance. After you enter, they will select winners two hours before the curtains open and whoever wins will only have to shell out $25 per ticket to see the show! However there is a catch: only one entry per person, you must pay for your tickets in cash, and you must be present during the drawing as well as able to show valid ID that you are one of the winners.

The Book of Mormon has won nine Tony Awards, including the award for Best Musical, so can you really afford to miss out on seeing a show like this for a price of $25 to $50? Stop. Just Stop. The answer is no. You can’t afford to miss it.
