It’s been a long run for the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute with the five-year anniversary approaching for the approval $1.1 million expansion. It’s been a long wait. “It exceeds my imagination,” Medical Center CEO Dr. Steven Gabbe said, according to Columbus Business First. “It’s just incredible to see it come to life this way.” Next Friday, the new building will officially open up to train the staff in the expansion. The upgrade includes 348 private rooms, all 14 operating rooms are located on the same floor and the genetics and data analytics research rooms have glass walls so that patients can walk by and look at the work the staff is doing.
