“Sensitivity towards Columbus,” Dallas sets rules for attending Crew game
This weekend, Columbus Crew SC will take on FC Dallas in Frisco, Texas and folks from Austin are planning a “scouting trip” to take in the game.
“A number of members are traveling up to Frisco this weekend to get a first-look at many of the players we’ll be seeing in Austin next season,” reads a notice from @MLSinAustin on Twitter.

The note goes on to list the group’s position on sensitivity towards Columbus including the avoidance of Dallas chants, keeping the Austin section ambiguous, and generally keeping a low profile.
“Please do not forget that the team on the pitch on 9/15 is still Columbus’ – not ours,” the notice reminds.
