1000s of pounds of corned beef later, Katzinger’s turns 30
Wednesday, Katzinger’s Delicatessen will celebrate 30 years of corned beef and free pickles. “2014 has been a milestone for us in more than one way. In addition to marking 30 years as a successful, independently owned restaurant and retail store, we opened our first ‘satellite’ operation – Katzinger’s Little Delicatessen in the North Market,” said Diane Warren, owner of Katzinger’s. The restaurant has been a cornerstone of German Village, marking the beginning of the neighborhood and they will celebrate 30 years in business with raffle tickets for Katzinger’s gift cards (proceeds going to Mid-Ohio Food Bank, House of Hope and Neighborhood Services). They will also be taking “My Deli Memories” by email or snail mail (whichever way you roll) and the memories will be hung in the store for display and one will be selected each week for a $100 Katzinger’s gift card.
